Turbine 16 CK145

Turbogenerators TG-1 and TG-2 - the 16CK145 turbine produced by Alstom Power Sp. z o.o. and the 50WX21Z-92 generator produced by ABB Alstom Power Generators Sp. z o.o. are the devices which work with the OFz-425 fluid boilers.
 

The 16CK145 turbine is an arial-flow, two-cylindrical steam turbine, which consists of two parts: the high-pressure part (WP) and the integrated medium- and low-pressure part. (SP/NP). Thanks to the compact structure of the SP/NP part it was possible for the whole system to be shorter. As a result it was possibile to put an oil system in front of the turbine. The whole system also consists of reaction wicket gates, the welded impeller of the WP and SP part and the integrated cut-controlling valve chambers, WP and SP, built over the cylinder. This is one of the most effective turbines in Poland of the single heat consumption of 7810 kJ/kWh.
 

It has some more advantages: fast, fully controlled start-up and complete power emissions (for the plant's own use) using fast, highly efficient (100%) by-passes of the WP and SP/NP parts. The turbine is adjusted to air-drying and air-cooling.
 

The turbine systems of power units 1 and 2 are adjusted to start from the so-called, sliding contact parameters. The use of the unit of thermal reduction (BOT) enables a fast start-up and fast changes of the load maintaining a safe level of thermal stresses of the most loaded parts. The effect of the unit functioning is a longer turbine life and lowering of the repair costs. The turbine system enables maximum availability without additional limitations. The applied construction solutions and the control-comparative possibilities allow the periods of time between one repair and another to be prolonged up to 8-12 years.
